The Foundation in Early Childhood Education is the entry point for students who know they want to work with young children but are coming to the subject for the first time. It covers how children grow and learn, what a good early years setting looks like, and what the role of an educator actually involves day to day.
Observed visits to partner preschools begin early in the year, so the theory has something concrete to attach to and students can test their interest in the profession before committing further.
Successful completion guarantees progression into the PCHE Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
