The Diploma in Early Childhood Education is PCHE's longest-running programme and the one our alumni speak about most. It covers how children develop, how early years curricula are designed, and how to observe, plan for and assess learning in a real setting.
Placement is central rather than incidental. Students spend structured time in well-equipped preschools across Colombo, working with qualified educators and building the practical file that partner universities and employers both ask to see.
Graduates transfer into year two of the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education at Deakin University, and many of them cite the placement experience as the reason the transition felt straightforward.
Module titles are indicative and reviewed each cycle against partner university year-one content. The admissions team can confirm the current structure for your intake.
