The Foundation in Information Technology takes students with no formal computing background and gets them ready for degree-level study. You write your first programs here, learn the mathematics that computing rests on, and build the study and communication skills that carry through the rest of the pathway.
The emphasis is on understanding rather than memorisation: why a program behaves the way it does, why a system is designed one way rather than another.
Successful completion guarantees progression into the PCHE Diploma in Information Technology.
Module titles are indicative and reviewed each cycle against partner university year-one content. The admissions team can confirm the current structure for your intake.
