Why Wollongong
Consistently ranked among Australia's leading universities
Lower cost of living than Sydney or Melbourne
Strong computing and business faculties
Campus community scaled to the student, not the crowd
A highly ranked coastal university an hour south of Sydney, strong in computing and business.
Official websiteThe University of Wollongong sits between the escarpment and the coast, an hour south of Sydney, and combines a strong international ranking with a campus small enough that students are not anonymous in it.
Its computing and business faculties have long-standing industry links, and the cost of living is meaningfully lower than in Sydney or Melbourne, which is a practical consideration for many families.
