Foundation in Business
The post-O/L entry route into business study: academic skills, quantitative grounding and an introduction to how organisations work.
- Duration
- 1 year full-time
- Intakes
- January, May, September

The Diploma in Business is built around the first year of an Australian bachelor of business. You cover the same management, marketing, accounting and economics ground that partner universities teach in year one, assessed to the same standards, so the credit transfers rather than merely counting as preparation.
Teaching is deliberately practical. Case studies are drawn from Sri Lankan and regional companies, group work mirrors the way project teams actually operate, and assessment mixes written work with presentations and live business problems.
You finish the year with a recognised qualification in hand and a confirmed place in year two of a partner degree, which means the move abroad is a continuation of your studies rather than a fresh start.
Module titles are indicative and reviewed each cycle against partner university year-one content. The admissions team can confirm the current structure for your intake.
Graduates of this programme transfer into year two at the following partner universities.
