Programme overview
The Diploma in Psychology combines the theoretical grounding of a first-year psychology degree with the practical research competence that later years depend on. You study cognition, development, social behaviour and the biological basis of mind, and you learn to design, run and report a study properly.
Assessment reflects that balance: research projects and practical work sit alongside written coursework, so you arrive at your partner university already able to work with data rather than only to read about it.
The programme carries direct entry to Sheffield Hallam University, where students receive credit recognition toward their bachelor's degree and access to the university's research facilities.
